Who the contract is with
Qlaas DMI is provided by UIE Ltd, trading as qlaas, part of UIE Group (“we”, “us”). You are the person or business that buys a line, joins the Verified Agent Lane or buys a Self-host Pro licence (“you”). These terms form the contract for the service between you and us. They apply from the moment you complete checkout or, for the free core, from the moment you run it.
Payment is taken by Stripe as merchant of record, so your receipt, tax invoice and card statement name Stripe (shown as “Sold through Link”), and Stripe's consumer terms govern the payment itself. We provide the service and are responsible for it. See fees, tax and Stripe.
If you buy for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it. “Consumer” below means an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
What a line is
A line is one signed, machine-legible endpoint for a person or a business: a door people can call from a browser at a handle such as dmi.qlaas.co.uk/@you, screening that asks callers why they are calling, an endpoint that AI agents reach over MCP or A2A under your policy, and a signed receipt for every decision. A hosted line runs on dmi.qlaas.co.uk and is set up within 24 hours of a completed checkout, by email to the address you give Stripe.
A handle must not impersonate another person or organisation, infringe a trade mark or be offensive. We may change or withdraw a handle that does, and we may reclaim a handle that has been unused for 12 months after telling you.
What is included today
Lines are browser and app based. Today a Founding Line includes a door anyone can voice or video call from a browser without an app; screening, so callers say why before you pick up; the agent endpoint for messages, callbacks, free/busy and meeting proposals under your policy; a signed receipt for every decision, exportable as JSON or CSV; and up to 3 handles. A Business Line adds 5 seats, business-hours Mandates, the verified lane, a callback queue, receipt export for your records and priority support. The current list for each tier is on the Qlaas DMI page and is part of these terms at the time you buy.
A real phone number, a WhatsApp Business line, a Telegram bot and push to iOS are in development. None is part of the service until it has passed testing on real devices and, for telephony, a real carrier. When one passes, it is included in every active hosted line at no extra charge. We make no promise about when, or whether, any of them will pass, and a delay is not a defect in the service you bought.
We will not claim a feature is live until it is. If we ever remove a feature that was included when you bought, you may end the contract and we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
Founding price lock
The Founding Line is offered to the first 100 hosted lines at £29 a month or £290 a year. That price is locked for the life of your subscription: we will not raise it while the subscription runs without a break. If you cancel and later return, or a payment fails and the subscription lapses, the lock ends and the then-current price applies.
The lock is a promise about price, not about scope: features we add are included as described above, and features we withdraw are handled as described above. If we discontinue Qlaas DMI, we will give at least 60 days' notice, let you export your receipts and policy, and refund the unused part of any period you have paid for, pro rata to the day.
Acceptable use
You may use a line only lawfully. In particular you must not use screening, recording or transcription to intercept or record anyone where the law does not permit it; use a line to harass, deceive or discriminate; publish a handle, manifest or screening prompt that is unlawful or misleading; or try to break, overload or probe the service or another owner's line.
You are the controller of what your line collects from callers and agents. Where the law where you or your callers are requires consent or notice for recording, transcription or automated screening, you are responsible for obtaining it. We help: every screened call begins with a short statement that an automated assistant is taking the call for the line's owner, and recording is off unless you turn it on. You must not remove that statement where disclosure is required. Our privacy notice explains what we process and why.
We may suspend a line, with notice where we reasonably can, if we believe it is being used in breach of this section or in a way that harms the service or others. We lift the suspension when the issue is resolved, or end the contract if it is not.
Your policy and your receipts
Your Mandate, the policy you set for the line, is the controlling instrument. Every request to the line gets one of three answers from it: Allow, Step up or Deny. We apply your policy as written; we do not decide for you, and a decision that follows your policy is your decision. Anything that steps up waits for you in your app and is not acted on until you act.
Receipts are yours. Each decision is signed with your line's key and chained to the one before it. They are your evidence of what the line was asked and what it decided, for your records and for any duty you have to show it. A receipt proves what was decided and by which rule. It does not prove that a meeting happened, that a caller was who they said, or that a decision was lawful. You can export receipts at any time, and for 90 days after the line ends.
Verified Agent Lane
The Verified Agent Lane is for operators: people or businesses that build or run AI agents which contact lines. It is a service to the operator, separate from the owner's line, and these terms apply to it. The lane costs £199 per operator, per month, with a free trial of 90 days for the first operators we admit. We tell you before the trial ends; if you do nothing, the subscription does not start.
An operator on the lane must, on every interaction: identify the operator and the agent by a stable key; disclose at the start that it is an AI agent and name the person or business it is acting for; honour a Deny and not retry it on another path; and send only requests the owner's manifest offers. Fair use is 20,000 interactions per operator per month across all lines; we will talk to you before we throttle beyond that.
We may suspend or remove an operator from the lane at once, without refund of the current month, if it impersonates a person or principal, hides that it is an agent, ignores a Deny, probes for a way round an owner's policy, or is used to harass or spam owners. Owners can report an operator, and a receipt is the record either side can show. Off the lane, an agent can still leave a message where an owner allows it.
Self-host Pro licence
The free core is open source and stays under its own licence; nothing here narrows that licence. Self-host Pro is a separate licence for the Pro features, at £99 per line, per year. Each licence key unlocks one line for one year on a server you control. You may not share, resell or redistribute a key or the Pro code, use one key for more than one line, or remove the licence check.
The licence includes updates to the Pro features published during its term. It renews yearly unless you cancel; when it ends, the Pro features stop and the free core keeps running with your data in place. Your data, policy and receipts stay on your server; we never hold a copy. A licence key is digital content that is sent by email as soon as your payment completes; see cancellation.
Fees, tax and Stripe
Prices are shown in pounds sterling on the Qlaas DMI page. Stripe is the merchant of record: it is the seller of record for tax, adds any VAT or sales tax due for your country at checkout, takes payment, and issues your receipt and tax invoice. The price you see at checkout, including tax, is the price you pay. Stripe may show the amount in your local currency.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until cancelled. Stripe emails a reminder before each yearly renewal and, for UK customers, before the six-month point as well. If a payment fails, Stripe retries; if it still fails after 14 days we may pause the line, and after 30 days end it. Stripe handles payment disputes and may refund a transaction itself under its own terms; where it does, the service for that period ends.
We may change prices for new customers at any time. For an existing Business Line, Verified Agent Lane or Self-host Pro licence we give at least 30 days' notice before a change takes effect at your next renewal, and you may cancel before then. The Founding Line price does not change while the subscription runs.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any subscription at any time from the link on your Stripe receipt, at app.link.com (opens in a new tab), or by emailing hello@qlaas.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; the line runs until then and nothing more is charged.
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the day the contract starts, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Because a hosted line starts at once, we ask at checkout for your express request that we begin the service during those 14 days. If you then cancel within the 14 days, you pay only a proportionate amount for the days the line ran, and we refund the rest within 14 days of your telling us. For a Self-host Pro licence, the key is digital content sent as soon as you pay; at checkout you consent to that and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once it is sent. If you buy in the name of a business, with a VAT number or for a trade or profession, the 14-day right does not apply.
Beyond the 14 days, monthly subscriptions are not refunded for the current month. Yearly subscriptions are refunded pro rata only where these terms say so: if we withdraw a feature you bought, discontinue the product, or break these terms and do not fix it within 14 days of your telling us. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the service is not performed with reasonable care and skill. The short version is on the refunds page.
Service levels
We run hosted lines on a best-efforts basis. There is no uptime guarantee or service credit during the founding period. We aim to tell you about planned maintenance in advance and to answer support email within two working days. We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill, which the law requires and these terms do not reduce.
A line depends on things we do not control: your device, your network, the browser or client a caller or agent uses, and third-party providers. We are not responsible for a call that fails because of them, or for what a caller or an agent says or does.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to a service performed with reasonable care and skill and to digital content of satisfactory quality.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, business, revenue or goodwill, for loss or corruption of data you have not exported, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you under or in connection with the service in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid for it in those 12 months, or £100 if more.
You are responsible for your use of the line: for your policy, for the lawfulness of screening and recording in your jurisdiction, for what you tell callers, and for what you do with receipts. If a claim is made against us because of your breach of the acceptable use section, you will compensate us for it, unless you are a consumer, in which case you are liable only for loss that is a foreseeable result of your breach.
Changes and ending
We may change these terms to reflect changes in the law, in the service or in how we run it. We give at least 30 days' notice by email of a change that affects you, and you may cancel before it takes effect; a change does not reduce the Founding price lock or your right to export. The version in force is the one on this page, with its date.
Either of us may end the contract on notice as set out in cancellation. We may end it at once if you break the acceptable use section and do not put it right within 14 days of our telling you, or if the breach cannot be put right. When a line ends, it stops answering, its handle is released after 90 days, and you can export your receipts and policy for 90 days. We then delete them.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of where you live and may bring a claim in your local courts.
